We had an amazing time in India riding with Rishi from Ashok Taxi Tours!

We are a couple from the U.S. and Germany around 30 years old. We booked a car from Ashok Taxi Tours for our 11 day visit to Delhi, Agra, and around Rajasthan in December 2015. We visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, and Jodhpur and many smaller places along the route.

All communication with the company was very professional. Before the trip, they responded very quickly to my request with a detailed, professional quote. This made it very clear what was included and what was not included, so we did not have to worry about any hidden costs. They were also very flexible and responsive when I made a last minute change to the itinerary.

Mr. Ashok met us on the first day to welcome us to India and answer any questions that we had.

Our driver Rishi was amazing. He is very experienced, professional, friendly, and punctual. He really made our trip enjoyable and stress-free. We felt very safe riding in his car and leaving our valuables in his care, and every one of his recommendations worked out well. Rishi cleaned the car every day. The car was a 4 door Suzuki which is very comfortable for two adults. Three adults or even three adults and a child could fit as long as they don’t bring too much luggage.

We made a plan of the cities we wanted to visit and on which days. However, we only made a hotel booking for our first two nights in Delhi. After that, based on our budget and preference (city center vs. outside the city for example), Rishi would recommend a hotel and take us there to inspect the room before committing.

There was never any pressure from him to stay there, and all the places he took us to offered a good value. You are of course welcome to book hotels in advance, but I recommend not doing this so that you can stay longer or shorter in each city depending on how you like each place and how you feel (many Westerners get some degree on stomach sickness in India). This also saves so much time because you don’t need to research and compare hotels.

Rishi took us to every sight we wanted to visit and was very knowledgeable about the details of each (entrance price, average time to visit, etc). For example, in Agra he took us to a minor (but nice) site first which allowed us to buy a combination ticket and then skip the ticket line at the Taj Mahal. He also recommended additional sites that were on our driving path, but did not pressure us to go anywhere if we didn’t want to. He also recommended tasty and hygienic places for us to eat. Rishi really made our experience unforgettable.

If we visit India again, we will happily use Ashok’s service again and specifically request Rishi as our driver.
